Dr. Sulaiman Alhabib Hospital Inpatient & Outpatient Pharmacy Visit | Mentorship Program
As part of the College of Pharmacy Mentorship Program, junior pharmacy students at Alfaisal University visited Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The visit aimed to introduce students to hospital pharmacy practice and enhance their understanding of pharmacists’ contributions to patient care.
During the visit, students shadowed outpatient pharmacists, learning about medication processing, organization, and medication dispensing workflows in the outpatient pharmacy. They also had the opportunity to observe inpatient pharmacy operations, where they were introduced to medication compounding procedures and the preparation of intravenous (IV) medications.
This valuable experience offered students a closer look at daily pharmacy operations and strengthened their appreciation of the essential role pharmacists play within hospital settings.
