Basics of Biostatistics Workshop | Mentorship Program
Under the Mentorship Program at Alfaisal University College of Pharmacy, the “Basics of Biostatistics & SPSS Workshop” was successfully conducted from February 9–11, 2026
The workshop was generously delivered by SNIH, with Dr. Basim Alsaywid serving as the instructor. The sessions aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of fundamental biostatistics concepts and enhance their practical skills in using SPSS for data analysis.
Key topics included data classification, descriptive statistics, normal distribution, selection of appropriate statistical tests (such as Student’s t-test versus ANOVA), and interpretation of statistical results. Participants also received hands-on training on SPSS, enabling them to apply statistical methods to real research scenarios.
