As part of the Mentorship Program at the College of Pharmacy, Alfaisal University, a field trip to Bupa Arabia was organized to explore the role of pharmacists in the insurance industry.

On Sunday, January 5th, 2025, pharmacy students visited Bupa Arabia to gain insights into various career opportunities available for pharmacists within an insurance company. During the visit, students were introduced to the company and learned about key roles pharmacists play, including utilizing their clinical judgment for pre-authorization and approvals, managing medical claims through claims management and claims integrity teams, and contributing their expertise to develop company regulations and guidelines.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the company’s departments. It was an invaluable and insightful experience. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Bupa Arabia team, particularly Ms. Maha Edrees, Mr. Ibraheem Aldowsari, Mr. Ibrahim Alghamdi, and Dr. Nouran Alotaibi, for their warm hospitality and support.
